FAQ’s
1) Does paintball hurt? Many players equate it to being flicked by a wet towel, the impact of a paintball may leave a small bruise. We suggest layering your clothing.

 

2) Is paintball safe? Yes paintball is very safe injury statistics are incredibility low compared to many other sports .31 players per 1000 get injured an injury is classified as a day off work. As a comparison 223.79 players per 1000 are injured playing Lacrosse, 12.6 players per 1000 are injured playing Hockey, 10.54 players per 1000 are injured playing Soccer, 3.44 players per 1000 are injured Downhill Skiing, paintball is safer than Golf with 1.13 players per 1000 suffering an injury.

 

3) How old do I have to be to paintball? Players as young as ten years old are welcome to play paintball, any player younger than 18 must have the wavier signed by a parent or guardian prior to being permitted to play paintball.

 

4) How many paintballs will I use in a full day of play? Most players use between 350-500 paintballs in a full day, a full day is 12-16 different games. Some players use less, while other players may be a little more trigger happy and use more paintballs. Extra paintballs are available at either location in various quantities.

 

5) Can I just show up and play? Yes, absolutely walk-ons and small groups are always welcome at either Flag Raiders Paintball location, we suggest calling first to make sure games are being run and space is available.

 

6) Can I arrange a private group? Yes a private group can be arranged with no trouble, we will require a $20.00 per person, non refundable deposit paid in advance, an available date and a minimum group size of 25 or more participants.

 

7) Is the fill in the paintballs safe and can I wash it out of my clothes? Yes it is very safe. It is mineral oil with a vegetable dye and the shells of a paintball are gelatine just like a Contact C capsule. The paintballs are manufactured by pharmaceutical manufacturers. Most paint will wash out with a normal machine wash, although some paintballs used in tournament play are filled with a much brighter and vibrant fill and may require more attention and even pre-soaking. We recommend that you don’t wear your Sunday best.

 

8) Do I have to play all day? Players are welcome to play all day or choose to play half day sessions, with advance notice and bookings groups may even play in the evening at the outdoor or anytime during a 24 hour period at the indoor.

 

9) Can I bring my own paintballs to Flag Raiders? Due to insurance reasons recreational players may not bring their own paintballs.

 

10) Can I bring my own marker to Flag Raiders? Yes. Players are more than welcome to use their own marker at Flag Raiders, however it must meet our standard velocity limits 280 fps at the outdoor and 250 fps at the indoor. A chronograph is supplied and each marker must be tested prior to play and several times during a typical day to ensure safe operation.

 

11) What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, debit and most major credit cards.

 

12) What if it is raining or snowing? We play rain, shine or snow at either location. We are the Postal Service of paintball with but a smile.

 

13) Do you fill Co2 or HPA? Yes we do, either location can fill your Co2 tank to the correct weight or we fill to both 3000 or 4500 psi with our self fill stations. During a typical paintball day at Flag Raiders Co2 and air fills are always included. All tanks must have a valid hydro date and be TC Stamped for your safety and others.

 

14) Can I use a barrel plug in my marker? Absolutely not, all paintball markers must have a BBD (Barrel Blocking Device) in the correct place at all times.
